Unfortunately, many graduates with degrees in supposedly 'marketable' fields (e.g. law, engineering) are also walking out with their degrees and massive student loan debt but are not finding jobs. It isn't just the graduates with traditional 'frou-frou' degrees like English, history, and music that are having trouble finding work.
Sorry if I've offended anyone, as I probably have. Frou-frou is good too. Thank goodness the world isn't just filled with engineers like myself.

Well at least he's not going for his Doctorate.
I just used my Saxophone performance degree last week, I ran out of toilet paper and couldn't afford to buy another roll.

I love Zits. What he needs to do is to make it big with his rock band before he hits college.
The Sing-off just finished their season with the Pentatonix (awesome group) as champions. There are some college kids (or at least college age) from that show who may not be in music theory class for awhile. Or maybe they will be if they want to.
I had a friend who quit university to take a job as organist for an MLB baseball team.
Unfortunately there are few who have that choice, but I love to see it when it happens.

A friend was delighted when her teenage son started to show signs of musical talent, and was overjoyed when he and some friends set up a rock band. She wasn't quite so happy when they called themselves "Captain Snot and the Bogies". No pleasing some people!
