I just put "clarinet clock" in google and found literally thousands.

The top result is cafe press (www.cafepress.com). They have about 500 different clarinet themed clocks!

Might take while to choose!

One thing you might want to watch out for is noise. Ask the dealer whether the clock is silent or at least quiet, before you order it. Some clocks tick like time-bombs. Not the kind of metronome a teacher wants in a studio! It's hard to tell just by looking at a clock whether it will tick loudly. I'm on my third try for the guest bedroom at the moment. Most of the people who've slept in there have had to banish the clock to my office next door.

Lelia, the above forethought is why you were probably voted "smartest girl in the class". I hadn't given that a thought.

Of course you may want to consider that your teacher hasn't a clock for a reason.

It might be like a husband purchasing a frying pan for his wife for her birthday - be careful.

Paul - I asked her at rehearsal on Monday if I got her a music/clarinet related clock if she would put it up. she said yes. so its not exactly a surprise but what it will look like will be. I'm having members from the ensemble vote on the 7 clocks I picked out.

2 of my favorites are OCD - Obessive Clarinet Disorder (with clarinet pictured)

and - "plays well with others" (with clarinet pictured)

however, i think the modern design I picked will go better with her decor.
