Thought I'd throw this out to a wider audience. Attached are photos of five barrels of some popular makes of clarinet in the '50s to the '70s, so all you have to do is name them (from left to right).

There is a slight twist to this - the most observant of you will immediately pick up on it.

I'll take a shot. Numbering these from left to right as 1-5:

1. Not sure about this. The fat bulge make me want to say B&H 1010 but it doesn't have smooth tenon rings so probably not.
2. Looks like a B&H, probably from an Edgware
3. Leblanc
4. Buffet
5. Selmer, probably from a CT

Hopefully I got a couple right at least.

No idea about the sources. They all have a slight bulge except #3. The rings on #4 are a different design, and the grain shows through on the tilted photo. It might not be grenadilla.

They're all grenadilla barrels - the 4th one had been polished with rouge which is why it has more prominent red streaks in it than grenadilla would normally have and it's also rather dry.

Guessing, from the left

1.Boosey and Hawkes ? Emperor
2. Boosey and Hawkes same clarinet as 1 but the shorter barrel
3. Leblanc LL
4. Early R13 / E+S
5. Selmer CT

Interesting!

I am very much in same mind as Chris J,

1. Possibly an early (prototype) B&H Imperial?
2. B&H Emperor
3. Leblanc
4. Buffet
5. Selmer

Interested to hear the correct answer!

So how do they compare?

I am really not sure about 1 and 2. I was going on the idea that they were from the same B+H clarinet and so assuming Edgwares didn't have 2 barrels, then Emperor or above (if indeed they are B+H)

But the others did seem to have some similarities to instruments I have...

Ok, you're all 99.9% right with this.

No.1 was originally from an Emperor and had the less decorative silver plated rings (but not the completely flat ones as 926/1010s have). It's not the usual Emperor barrel shape as it's much heavier, more like that of a 926/1010 shape but I've put Edgware rings on it to go with a B&H Marlborough I've got in pieces (Marlboroughs are the same spec as a Series 2-20 in that they have a metal bell ring while most other B&H clarinets don't).

No.2 is from a B&H Series 2-20/Edgware

No.3 is a Leblanc LL (albeit a late one)

No.4 is from a Buffet R13

No.5 is a Selmer Centered Tone

It seems the exteriors are distinguishable. Are the bores quite different? I'm guessing the external shape might influence the tone a bit. ie It isn't just cosmetic?
