 Altissimo Fingering help!

Hi guys,
Sorry I feel quite embarrassed asking for fingering advice, but I can't for the life of me figure out fingerings that I can use here that are in tune and legato and don't sound terrible.

The main problem areas are where the red underlines are. Any help would be really great!
Also, this should be played at quarter = 120

Since you're in Germany you may want to clarify whether you're playing a Boehm system or Oehler system.

It's not too tricky, I would suggest you think about which G to use in the context of the passage. For example:

0X0/XX0 Eb
Sp

X00/X00 (Eb)
sp

For the Bb i would use alt F fingering with the thumb off (speaker still open), for the A over blown E with the F/C key.

It's kinda hard with out hearing you play it and I'm not in a position to play it right now.

What a passage! This works on my instrument....short fingerings throughout for high F and G (overblowing A and B) Long fingerings for high A and Bb(overblow Eb fourth space and E natural fourth space in staff)

Sacha, that's what the board is here for!

Who wrote the piece?

Hi David,

José Greco wrote the piece, called Queen of Hearts for the messiaen quartet instrumentation.

I'd play it on Eb clarinet. There's no good reason to call for noodling up to altissimo Bb.

I have a fingering chart on my website with many fingerings in the altissimo register. Check it out and experiment to see if any of those works in combination for you. I've even just fixed it so it does not spread over three pages, which some how happened when I made an upgrade. It's easier to read now. ESP

I think this should be a standard part of clarinet playing. Every advanced player should spend some time at this. If you played classical soprano saxophone here is what you can do. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IJpfpmzRR7o&feature=related Is clarinet that far behind the sax? I think soprano altissimo register is more difficult than clarinet.
