Hello!
From what I've read here, I know there are mixed views on the whole Royal Conservatory of Music Syllabus...etc... Just to clarify, this is new to me (RCM) I personally like to use my own ideas and teach from life not a syllabus, but I have a student who is not in band anymore and I feel like this can be a type of goal for him.
I was hoping I could find someone on here who has gone through the exams because I have a few questions especially about the Technical Requirements (scales/arpeggios). In the syllabus they have the articulations required. My main question is that it shows 6 quarter notes for an arpeggio. Isn't there 7 notes in a one octave arpeggio? c-e-g-c-g-e-c. Is that correct or are they thinking of an arpeggio differently?
Any help would be helpful!
Thank you!
