 Please help...

I just have recorked one of my mouthpieces and I started to practise with it. After 20 minutes I wanted to clean the bore. And the mouthpiece didn't come off. When I put it on the barrel, it was a bit tight, but nothing serious. I used a fair amount of cork grease of course. Unfortunately it's rock solid now. Together with a barrel. Is there any kind of black magic for this problem?

A hammer usuallly fixes things nicely.

Seriously, it sounds like the cork expanded after getting wet. Let it sit for a few hours and dry out a bit. See if it doesn't loosen up a bit.

Thanks for the advice, but it has been resting for 3+ hours and still nothing.

The standard repair tech's method is to hold the mouthpiece in one fist, the barrel in the other and rock the joint slightly back and forth until it comes loose.

If outer part of the cork is off center with the mouthpiece bore, the end of the mouthpiece tenon may be binding at the bottom of the barrel socket. Make sure the cork matches the socket.
