 Hello all,

I'm just wondering what does "EX" mean on a Backun barrel. (i.e. 65EX)

 Thanks,

 Brian

Not sure what "EX" means. I checked my MoBa and there are no letters after the 66. BMS (according to their website) sometimes sells, what they term, "studio" grade barrels. Which are cosmetically flawed but fine in terms of tone. Could be the "EX" is related to these barrels.

 Hello,

The EX models were made for Leblanc Clarinets (export models) and meant to play at a higher pitch than A-440

 Hope this helps.
