If you are looking to buy, you probably should place a (free) ad in the classified section, over on the right of the page.

Hi again.
I was in the same boat...got mine used at one of the "world's leading electronic auction sights" that shall remain nameless.... (wink).
I understand such sites have (wink, wink) ability to set up saved searches, to even email you when products come in that fit your description. Such a search phrase might include.....I don't know (wink)
(buffet,pochette, french) case clarinet
(Like I said--been there done that.)
Of course, caveat emptor--or buyer beware.
Best of luck in finding what you're looking for. It took me a couple of weeks, but I ended up with the latter of the 2 cases you describe.

And what site might that be? (By the way, you really should do something about that eye.)

Sounds like the "Evil" site to me.

I don't mean to be coy. Rather, in respect, and in the sprit of Mr. Charette's desire that the bboard (as opposed to the classifieds of the site) avoid the mentioning of sales or offers to buy, I try to shy away from recommending vendors when not asked first, and to divuldge any conflict of interest.
In short: I'd rather talk about (and I think Mr. Charette would rather us talk about) balancing a reed, how to approach a phrase in music, problems with squeaking--you know, the nuts and bolts of clarinet playing. Nevertheless, I got my case on ebay for those who just don't have the radar (I'm not judging, just saying) for equating "one of the world's leading electronic auction sights" with this corporation. I have no affliation with them, nor am I selling anything there right now.
And always, caveat emptor: buyer beware.

Mr. Charette only desires that talking about currently running sales or offers to buy from Internet auction sites be prohibited from the BBoard, nothing more, nothing less.
And personally, I would rather the majority of the talk focus on music rather than the music-producing tools, but "that ain't gonna happen soon ..."
