Hey Ryan:
Hopefully you'll find a fair number of Indiana natives on this bboard who can answer this off the top of their heads.
As I'm from NY, I can speak only to NYSSMA.
But that said, does ISSMA make a list of "ISSMA solo and ensemble division 1" pieces, that a player can choose from, available to examine?....online maybe? This might help in providing you an answer.
A quick look on my part at the http://www.issma.net/required.php website (if I'm even in the right place) showed me some lists under the Resource tab, but none appeared to schedule the pieces for clarinet that fall within the division 1 pieces you refer to--assuming such a list exists.
Secondly--what do you consider your likes, strengths and weaknesses (staccato, intonation, fast/slow, technical, etc.).
Knowing both prior pieces mentioned, I do agree that William's Hindemith takes some of the edge off of the Pastoral Cevenole (assuming the Hindemith is acceptable to ISSMA if they do have a "list").
Pardon the more obvious choices, but would the Mozart K622 2nd movement Adagio http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6QAAZ29cvfU&feature=related or the Weber 2nd, Op 71, 2nd movement, 2.Andante con moto /http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HqVupuaRe4E be acceptable to all?
Good luck with your audition.
