 Opinions on Vandoren B50 mouthpiece?
Author: cyberprimate

I can't find a lot of information on this bass clarinet mouthpiece? On the Vandoren web site, I read Michael Lowenstern is now using it (with V12 reeds). Has anyone tried it?

It has the lagrest tip opening and the longest facing among the Vandoren bass mouthpieces, so you have to work with a lot of air. For me it works better than any other bass mouthpiece, but I'm sure there are many who don't like it at all. I like it with blue box 3 with some adjustmen or 2.75 Legere.
