Hi,

I picked up this clarinet at an estate auction last week and have been trying to figure it out. The logo on this is unlike any I have been able to find. It is marked Made In France down near the end. It is also marked 3255. Here are links to some pics.

Thanks for any help!

I have one almost identical to yours except for the ''bulge'' at the top where the barrel sits.

The logo is somewhat different too, but all else appears the same. The serial # is 2605 - that would make it older, but by how much, I don't know.

I'll enquire about mine from a friend who seems to know about makes and models.

Here's what my mate says about my Noblet boehm system clarinet.....so....check the pinky key screws on yours.

''I reckon yours is definitely from late 20's. The left hand pinky keys on boehms normally have 2 seperate screws on side but your's only has a single one like my old 20's Conn boehm. If you google "Noblet serial nos" maybe something will come up.''

There is a picture of a metal Noblet with the same type logo on the bell as yours at:

http://www.clarinetperfection.com/clsnLeblanc.htm

According to that site, these instruments were made around 1920 - 1930.

Best regards,
jnk
