Which company is the most fair in mp trials and selection? So many out there seem to gouge.

Depends on what you mean by fair.

Greg Smith mouthpieces are pricey but he sent me at least a dozen on trial along with two matching barrels for the price of the ONE mouthpiece I was to buy. I only was on the hook for return shipping.

THAT'S fair............ if your spending $300 or so on a mouthpiece.

THe absolute worst is Weiner music. THey bang you for shipping on returned mouthpieces, even if you keep merchandise which exceeds their minimum for free shipping.
THey are also very bad about crediting your credit card for returned merchandise. I have ordered from them many times, and never did they credit my card for returned merchandise until I reminded them to do so.

I generally like MuncyWinds. Last year I ordered some things from

and was very happy with their service.

If you're paying shipping to and from that isn't gouging. If they're charging $5-8 restock fee it isn't gouging. If they charge you for only one of the items that you're getting from them it definitely isn't gouging -- that's facilitation!

Try Muncy Winds...they are great folks to work with: <www.muncywinds.com>

I havehad great dealings with both Walter Grabner and Greg Smith....both of whom are sponsors of this BBoard. :) And they both make wonderful (if different) mouthpieces.

If you can track him down, Ted Lane used to have a great trial policy, too, and pretty darned nice mouthpieces.
