Hello All,
I just got a new box of V12, strength 4, the ones that are now serial numbered. I was curious if you have noticed them to be consistently harder than a box pre-serial number.
I've been sitting down and starting to break them in and it seems like they're more resistant. They sound good, but the back pressure is much more intense.
Let me know what you think.

I'd noticed the numbers too, but so far I can't find anything different about the reeds. Perhaps it's the weather where you are?

Better to be too hard than too soft. Much better and easier to sand them down than clip them which I have personally very mixed results with even with some tips from Ed Palanker(that did improve it but not enough for me).

I tried 1 (a 3-1/2) out of the new serial numbered box and it seems 1/4 - 1/2 harder.
