 Pomarico black crystal vs M30D

Would love to try both of these mouthpieces however cannot find them anywhere near me in central NC to try. Hate ordering something like a mp online with risk of losing money an trial fees. Any opinions on these mp's are appreciated!

I don't like the Vandoren M30s I've tried. I don't recognize the -D suffix. The lay is too long, and you have nearly gag on it to get enough of it in your mouth. I used mine for a "blank" and had a nice comfortable facing put on it by Lee Livengood.

If you don't make the mpc during your trial, you've got no worries about it being taken back on a trial from a mouthpiece maker or, say, Woodwind Brasswind.

You can find several posts on both. I personally think the M30 has a very long facing and almost every reed feels too soft for it except what feels too hard...The thick rails should compensate the loss of resistance, but what it only does is slowing response. I have no experience with the german-like M30 but I think when this is mixed with german style it can only be worse.
