Australian Clarinet and Saxophone Festival 2011
Author: 2E

Very excited to be going to this, they have an incredibly impressive list of Australian and international professional clarinettists and saxophonists. I'm hoping I get to play in a workshop with Philippe Cuper! ha

Thought I'd share this here for any Aussie readers as the earlybird registration closes tomorrow :)

You mean the Australian festival that they don't advertise so that no one knows when/where it is?

Yes, that one precisely :p

I think it's only been advertised in Victoria, but I may be wrong.

Anyway, it should be a great festival I'm really looking forward to it :)

I went to one a few years ago. I paid for the full programme but I got so sick of the wankery of the 'professionals' and I thought the whole thing was a massive nerd-fest, I stopped going after 2 days and only came back when I was performing later in the week.
Also, when I was there they didn't have the VCA's practice rooms available so if you're planning on practicing, make sure you can do it in your hotel or something!

Dear all

I am hoping not to break any BBoard rules concerning advertising events.

2E Thanks for your interest and we hope to see you down here. I am sorry that some people from New Zealand have had difficulty finding out about this event. Donald please feel free to contact me via email if you need any more information or could suggest further ways we could let yourself and others in NZ know about the Festival.

Morrigan I hope all is well in the Uk, Melbourne University is a sponsor of this event and there will be practice facilities available. Likewise please feel free to contact me for any further information.

Cheers
Richard Mason
