I am looking for help to find out iabout my grandfather's clarinet. It is an H. Farny Albert System wood clarinet with case and a Buffet mouthpiece. The mouthpiece has "Buffet Crampon & Cie A Paris" engraved on it and is in excellent condition. The clarinet needs new pads I think or reconditioning of them but the clarinet itself is in good shape and has no cracks. Any information you can provide would be greatly appreciated

It's an off brand so the value will not be very high. Realistically you're probably looking at around $100, maybe a bit more if you can find the right buyer. A number of these have sold on ebay recently so you can check the completed listings to get an idea of what they have been selling for.

Use the search function at the top of this thread. Search for "farny" without the quotes and you will find some discussion of the name.
Best regards,
