Is it true that the berlin philharmonic doesnt allow boehm system clarinets?

They have had a few Boehm system players in from time to time, but generally they want to preserve the German tradition so do specify Oehler systems.

And are quite passionate about preservation of that tradition in general. Try teaching there with a non oehler system clarinet, and see how far you get.
