Wisdom Teeth etc.

Question: What effect on tone and especially pitch will removal of wisdom teeth, or any teeth have? (other than bad grammar). I am playing flatter lately. Is this the long-term effect of several gaps on the sides of my mouth. I may get implants . I feel I am playing flatter due to missing teeth. Of course, I haven't practiced much at all.

I really doubt the missing teeth have anything to do with it. Back when I got my wisdom teeth out I noticed I played flatter at first too. This was only because I had to take off a couple weeks from practicing and my embouchure had grown weak! haha

I agree. I've never had a student play flatter because they had their wisdom teeth removed, and I've had plenty. Still have mine though. ESP http://eddiesclarinet.com
