I'm talking about the Soprano Bb clarinet mostly, but does anyone know of any other brands than say:

Buffet
Yamaha
Leblanc
Lyrique
Peter Eaton

Paul, I'm pretty sure he was just using those models and brands as an example and referring to the big names in general. To the OP Guy Chadash makes his own and so does Rossi!

Bit like reeds I guess. Everyone's heard of the brands beginning in 'V' and 'R' but there must be at least 20 others.

Selmer counts as two, right? ;D

Two others: Luis Rosi, very good custom clarinets and Guy Chadash, also an excellant craftsman.

Another, Tom Ridenour who is a master accoustician producing his own line of instruments. Previously worked for G. Leblanc and was designer of the Opus and Concerto models of some years ago. Now, Morrie Backun seems to be working with them and taking most of the credit........

Add Stephen Fox, who is also a sponsor of this board.

Ripamonti

I have tried their horns at Frankfurt last yeat at the Musicmesse. They made surpisingly good clarinets (all kind of and I really mean all).
