Can anyone tell me some easy to get to stores in chicago where i can find vandoren mouthpieces and a clarinet strap?
I am brazilian and have a relative in Chicago. Things here in Brazil are way more expensive and i would like to use the opportunity to do some upgrades.
Thanks in advance!

I don't live in Chicago, so I can't recommend stores, but if you are traveling there for a visit, you might want to check on both Walter Grabner and Gregory Smith. Both gentlemen are in the Chicago area and make fantastic mouthpieces! They cost more than Vandorens, but worth are every penny.

My budget is not really big and it's not actually me who is in Chicago. It's a relative of mine - so I was thinking I should go for a "sure thing" that I have already tested and played on.

Both Gregory Smith and Walter Grabner send out mouthpieces for trial as long as you provide prepayment in advance. If you do not like the ones they send, you may send them back for others or ask that one be "tweaked" to your preferences. It's a much better way of selecting a moutbhpiece than having a relative pick one up at a random store just to save a little money. Vandoren mpcies are notoriously inconsistant and just because you tried 'one' that you liked once, buying another is no guarantee that it will play even remotely the same. At least with Gregory & Walter, they will continue to work with you until you do find one that plays well--and that is well worth spending a few extra dollars.
