Vandoren leather ligature inserts

Hello forum,

In my senior year of high school I found one of these in a junk drawer and when I put it on I ended up liking it more than the Oleg I was using. I still use it today, but I want to try the other plates, I only have the smooth leather one.

I haven't contacted vandoren yet, but is there some way I could obtain the other inserts? Nobody seems to sell them.

You could check out Weinermusic but it was strange that I saw that they only carry the plate set for German Bb version of the ligature. It might fit.

The metal one is probably the most used of people that have the leather ligature. It kinda combines the tone qualities of that of a bonade and rovner. Remember ligatures are really miniscule and the sound or feel is often only felt by the player. I love that ligature though.
