I bought a clarinet a week ago. I started to clean it and I will repad and recork it completely.
It says Overalto Paris France. I did a search but found nothing. It's register key is like on the German clarinets, but it has a regular mechanic otherwise.
Has anyone heard about this company?

If the clarinet is a boehm system but with a wrap-around style register key it is probably quite old. Most of the French makers discontinued the use of this style register key in the 1920's or even earlier. I've never heard of Overalto so it was likely either a very small maker or was a stencil produced by one of the larger makers.

If you can attach photos showing the instrument from various sides, there's a good amount of expertise on this board, and we may be able to identify the maker for you.

I compared this clarinet to my Buffet RC Prestige and the Overalto is more than 10 mm smaller. It's too long for a C clarinet. I noticed it's bore is narrower too. Could it be a German bore clarinet with Boehm system? I will measure this instrument more accurately later.
