I was browsing the Buffet website today and came across this information:

http://www.buffet-crampon.com/en/instruments.php?mode=productDetails&pid=845

Maybe the announcement of the Tosca Eb is old news, but I hadn't heard about it until this morning. I'm interested to see how much different it will be than the RC Prestige in terms of keywork and resistance. I'm also interested to see how much this little guy is going to cost...

I also had no idea but am definitely intrigued. Anyone know when it's going to be available?

I see from the Buffet web site that the instrument has barrels to reach a pitch of 440/442 Megahertz. Wow! :O)

Aside from the fact that Floria Tosca was a (duped) informer, assassin(ess) and suicide; should be a happy choice.

Gotta be careful there! The FCC may have something to say about their use in the US, especially near the Canadian border! (Lame Ham radio humor)

If anyone is curious to know, I asked around at the ClarinetFest and found out that the Tosca Eb will retail for about $5900. I got to play a couple of them too and they are definitely great instruments! If you get a chance to try some of them (and want to risk spending a large chunk of change), I highly suggest it.

No word about a Tosca alto clarinet just yet...

 Hi,

Already available and playable at Clarinetfest. It is a most impressive instrument. Howarth of London are lucky to get one of the first, but I know many of the stores in the U.S have them also.
