Karl Schlechta's basset horn

I have a 5 disc CD set titled Mannhiem School where Karl plays the Carl Stamitz Concerto in Bb for Basset horn on CD #2. The instrument has a very interesting tonal quality and I was wondering if anyone on this board knows who made his basset horn?
