A few months back, I posted a query about arrangements of Scott Joplin's music for clarinet quartets, quintets and the like. Several folks here came back with some good recommendations. I obtained a public domain arrangement of "Solace" and we had 9 clarinets (4 parts with 2 sopranos on each plus one bass) do Solace today at our pops concert. It sounded pretty darned good, and the audience reacted very favorably. Thanks for the help. The regulars on this board are a wonderful asset and storehouse of knowledge!

Hi Jeff, yup, we all exchange hard-to-get [sometimes] info on a variety of subjects. I have a piano arr. of "The Entertainer" by S J, in the key of C, in which the middle [bridge?] part , may be Solace??, recalling "The Sting", still like it !! I copied it from a compilation of 100 pop and old songs, that my fellow "inmates" in our retirement village, dearly love. I can get the book's title if you wish, since it prob. could be rearranged for 4 parts. Luck, Don
