Have new yamaha 650. I noticed barrel wiggles. Seems to be the barrel not the tenon cork. would like to purchase another barrel but can find only barrels for the CSG model. Will that Work? Thanks in advance

Please explain a little more: "Seems to be the barrel not the tenon cork." If the barrel wiggles it seems as though the cork isn't thick enough. This should be warranty work, but even if you had to pay out of pocket, you'd be talking about a few cents' worth of cork and 15 minutes of a tech's shop time to replace the cork with a thicker one compared to $150 and up for a barrel that may not solve the problem.

CSG barrels are ONLY for CSG. The top joint of a CSG is physically longer than a standard clarinet (more like a German horn) so the barrels are correspondingly shorter, more like 55mm opposed to 66 or 67mm for a regular clarinet.

Can't you find 650 barrels? Perhaps the same dealer who has the excess CSG barrels might have some SEV barrels.......these should work.

What Paul said. CSG barrels are a whole 'nother item.

First, try wrapping the tenon lightly with plumbers Teflon tape (99 cents at most DIY type stores, such as Lowes or Home Despot(sic) ) to tighten the fit for your own barrel. If that works, get the cork replaced.

Also, what is the humidity? Dryness can cause a loose socket fit
