 Vito clarinet

I've just acquired a Vito plastic clarinet with the Wm H Stubbins throat Bb
keywork....serial C95223
According to the lists I can find, this dates to either 1981 or 1996 - they seem to have repeated the serial numbers...
Can anyone tell me which is the more likely date...
And does anyone else have one of these !

This is interesting. I wasn't aware that there were once Vito clarinets with this mechanism.

I don't think this would have been produced as late as 1996 since I'm not aware of any company making this type of instrument in the 90s. I'm going to guess 1981.

That would be my best guess also..
You don't see many Vitos in the UK - this one I bought from Canada via fleabay - just to see how the mechanism worked !
Does produce a much better Bb..... much like my bass clari does....similar mechanisms...
