I have a Buffet B12 with a serial number 309604. I also have a Buffet Crampon Evette with a serial number 092118A Anyone know what years these might be or how to find out?

Nope. THe buffet site will not list the B12 clarinets at all. Only the Paris-made clarinets will get listed on the site. The B12 was made by Schreiber (I recall) in Germany, wasn't it? You might find the Evette there.

I think the Evette likely to be German made.
The Buffet web site just gives results for professional instruments, and they include the Evette and Schaeffer (E13 before they were called E13), but not Evette.

Actually, I have an Evette Master Model (NOT E&S) from the late 1960s which is prominently stamped MADE IN FRANCE.

The Master Model would be included, as you say, in the serial charts.
But the OP did not mention it to be Master Model, so I assumed just the basic Evette.
And if you or anybody else knows that the Master Model, though Made in France, is not actually on the serial number lookup facility on the Buffet website - then I will bow out of this thread gracefully!
Though I think the Master Model is thought of more highly than the E&S K series (one of which I own), which is thought of well enough....

Thanks for all the replies. I went to Buffet-Crampon's site and finally found where I can punch in my serial numbers (right on the "instruments" page). It yielded all the info I needed.
The Evette is manuf. in Germany, and the B12 in France. The 2 I have are 88 and 92, plastic, but still produce beautiful sound. Great horns!

I don't think you have got the correct details from the web site. The web site only shows professional models, and your instruments are not professional models.
Serial numbers are used more than once by Buffet. Even the professional model serial numbers sometimes give more than one result.
For example, your B12 serial number, from the web site, gives a return of instrument BC1212.AG
If you look at how that is decoded (for example using information below)

The BC means Buffet Crampon
The first 12 means it is in the key of A
The second 12 means it is a model RC
I assume the AG means it has silver plated keys
I don't think it is your B12
Similarly, your German E11 serial number, when put in the web site, is shared with a 1992 E13 in Bb with silver plated keys

Thanks, that's very useful info. I thought as much since I believe my Evette is much older than 92.
I emailed Buffet to see if they can tell me, but have yet to hear back from them.
There was an antique dealer looking for pre 1972 instruments, but is not interested in mine since the pads have to be replaced. I would still like to know the manuf date. Found a few websites but none that give the serial number range for my two horns.
