That'd be the equivalent of paying your greengrocer with mussel shells or bringing glass beads to a petrol station.

I wouldn't chance it. Mailing cash is not secure. Spend the 2 bucks and get a money order.

The "secure" way to send cash is, Money Order or Bank Draft.
Those should be acceptable to anyone.

Most convenience stores will give you a money order for under a dollar. Since you're in NC, Wilco's are always a good choice. As are 4 Brothers IIRC (I think they go out to the Triangle area).
