 Rico Make The Switch...
Author: Neal Raskin

I'm writing because I filled out and sent in my reeds to Rico back in March and I still have not gotten an email confirmation or my box of reeds... I know some others have had this same experience, but I was just wondering if anyone else out there is still in this situation.

If I were to make an offer like this, I would make sure I have the stock, facilities and personnel to handle it. I know some Rico reps tend to this board, so if they could help me out, it would be much appreciated.

I also had the same experience, but an email to jim.boyle@daddario.com cleared up the problem and the reeds arrived promptly.

I forwarded this thread to my Rico/D'Addario rep for him to look into it as well. Programs like this should be handled promptly by manufacturers.

I, too, dutifully sent my old reeds to them and never heard back. Gosh, you don't think they are out there using those reeds, do you?

I sent in the reeds as directed and never heard from them for months.
Someone responded to an email finally and I got the reeds in a week or two.

The two packs actually looked like factory rejects...the packs hadn't been sealed, only a bit of glue on one corner, reeds were very dry etc.

The person who responded to my email was very professional but as for the company...?

Thanks GBK. I just sent Mr. Boyle an email asking about the offer. I also attached a PDF of my confirmation page. Hope to hear back soon...

Ok, I just heard back from James Boyle. He is sending me the box of reeds I requested. Again, Rico seems to have the customer service thing down. I'm sure if they do another offer like this in the future, they will make sure to be a bit more organized.

Thanks Rico,
