Could anyone help me?
I'm looking for a double clarinet case/gig bag for a pair of Rossi clarinets, (as these are in one piece they don't fit in conventional cases)
Does anyone know of any? Or any makers? Preferably within the UK.
Am fed up of carrying around my fairly weighty case.
Thanks
Stu

Will they fit in a Wiseman case?
I can't think of any cases or gig bags for conventional clarinets where the upper and lower joints would remain together, therefore able to house a set of Rossis (apart from Rossi's own cases).

A single instrument will probably fit in a soprano sax bag. However, I wouldn't recommend using one -- there's too much chance of damage.

Altieri makes a padded case for the straight soprano sax which they may be able to custom tailor to your Rossi clarinet. Two of them would be far cheaper and lighter than a Wiseman or your present case(s). Here's their website: https://www.altieribags.com/secure/ww_orderform.html
[scroll down to the bottom of the order form]
Also, I have a straight Altieri sop sax gig bag that I am not going to be using anymore--sold my soprano, kept the bag. Contact me directly........

I've been checking for hard case alternatives (combo and single) to the ones that came with my Rossis, but other than getting Wiseman to custom make one for a gazillion dollars, I haven't found anything.
I have a gun case for those rare times when I have to travel with all four clarinets (Eefer, A, Bb, and C); I cut the foam inserts to hold the clarinets. Not pretty, but robust, and better than having to lug three cases around.
NO WAY would I put my clarinets in a soft gig bag, no matter how well-made.
However, if you're dead set on doing that for your own instruments, I second William's suggestion about contacting Altieri. Donna has been very willing to customize standard models for me in the past, and she doesn't charge an arm and a leg to do so.

Five/six years ago, Luis had the French company Orly make a beautiful double case for his instruments. Light weight with a great interior shell - the nicest case I have ever had. I don't know if they still make it, but check with Luis or the Orly company (in France).
