 Intonation chart

To help get an objective evaluation of intonation, attached is an excel chart of the range of a clarinet into which you (or a friend) can record the intonation of your clarinet as you play through chromatically. Some notes have multiple spaces for alternate fingerings.

If you want to check intonation yourself, one way is to record (several seconds per note) as you go through your range while trying to maintain a constant embouchure, breath, etc., and later measuring the pitch accuracy (+/- cents) while playing back the samples. Some programs (Adobe Audition/Cool Edit) will let you loop a portion (e.g. one note) of the recording.

I've arranged the three registers side-by-side, aligning similar fingerings so that you might see if any patterns emerge.

Enjoy.

[apparently the .xls file did not post - I will try to convert it to an acceptable file soon.]
