 Dan Leeson Review
Author: Ken Shaw 2017
Date:   2009-07-26 22:53

Dan Leeson wrote an interesting review in the San Francisco Classical Voice of a Mozart Quintet performance on a basset clarinet. http://www.sfcv.org/reviews/carmel-bach-festival/schubert-and-mozart-supplant-bach-in-carmel.

Mozart kept a "Notebook of All My Works" in which he put the first few bars of each work. The Quintet incipit is reproduced in the review -- all we have, since the manuscript is lost.

Was this played on period instruments? Very hard to tell from the review though the reviewer mentions the fortepiano.
