I'm looking for some help in identifying a few pieces from a TV programme broadcast last night on BBC One, namely 'Art in Troubled Times: A New Deal for Art' which forms part of the BBC's 'Imagine' series. The programme was discussing art in America after the depression and I would guess the music used was of a similar period, but I seem unable to identify the majority of it or find any information which would help me.
The programme can be found at http://bbc.co.uk/i/lvlbb/ (although, I fear, only if you are in the UK).
There are two that I am particularly interested in:
The first starts at 3:27, with a clarinet/bass clarinet duet, although develops into a clearly orchestral piece
The second is used from 20 seconds in and then again at 4:34 prominently featuring a flute and xylophone.
Thanks in advance for any help!
Marc
