Hello. I just bought a used , pretty go shape Evette by Buffet made in Paris. It is wood. I've been reading the forum but haven't been able to narrow down the age. It's serial # is D177xx. I cannot find this serial number range in any of the chart i've found online. All the stamped markings say Paris - Evette - France made by Buffet Crampon. Any info would be great. I have attached some pics. Thanks.

Do a search here using the "Search" function header and you'll at least get a clue as there's a lot of info.

Hello Bob. I searched the board prior to the post. I'm finding all types of conflicting info. about date ranges , where the Evettes were made, if the d models were in one factory or another etc. I think this one was made in 1967. Just wondering if there is anyway to confirm. Thanks.

FWIW, 1967 sounds about right. On the old serial number lists Buffet used to have on their website, "D1" returned a date of 1960. An Evette MM I own, with serial number D36xxx, dated to 1976.
