Recently (like the last 6 months recently) I realized that my embouchure is not as firm as it used to be, and its becoming an issue. When I play after a few minutes I can hear the air escaping from the corners of my lips, and its really annoying me because I can't understand why NOW of all times, this has started to happen. It's like, my embouchure doesn't even exist lol, as in its so loose. My sound isnt affected that much, except in the higher clarinet range. Can anybody give insight into why this might be happening now? And what I can do to fix it. Right now I feel as if i have to concentrate really hard not to relax my muscles, almost more then concentrating on the music, which is an issue. I have a feeling it has something to do with me starting to play the Eb clarinet this year in school. But... wouldn't that just make my embouchure on the Bb tighter? I dont know....

I always refer people to this article:
http://www.clarinet-saxophone.asn.au/downloadabledocs/The%20Clarinet%20Embouchure.pdf
This article is a great place to start looking at the embouchure. Try the things he says. I did and it really changed how I view the embouchure.
