Meet Stanley Drucker Offstage with the New York Philharmonic at Barnes & Noble TONIGHT at 6:00
Clarinetist Stanley Drucker is retiring from the New York Philharmonic after 62 seasons with the orchestra. You can imagine, then, that he has some stories to tell. He'll tell a few of them, and perform briefly, as well, at this special free event marking the end of an incredible musical run. Jeff Spurgeon hosts a Stanley Drucker celebration, Offstage with the New York Philharmonic at Barnes & Noble, at the Lincoln Center store, Broadway at 66th, TONIGHT at 6 P.M.

Any chance someone could go over there and convince him to come to Baghdad as part of a USO thing or something? I know at least ONE person who'd be interested and thrilled to take a picture with a clarinet legend.......!

I had the opportunity to see him perform for the last time with the NY Phil (well, the open dress rehearsal), and meet him yesterday. He autographed my Copland score .
