Selmer Signature how long

How long has the Selmer Signature been in production? Anyone know?

I think it was introduced sometime around 1998.

At the Clarinetfest in Columbus in 2000, Tom Ridenour was at the Selmer Desk with the brand new Signature, which he said had just been introduced.

I went to the Selmer web site but their serial numbers listed are kind of helter skelter.

A quick look at the Selmer Paris homepage tells you that it was introduced in 1998
