I have tried: Bliss (LeBlanc's don't work with my hands) ; Greenline (feels too heavy); Lyrique (didn't blow me away); and my 7214 w/ Muncy barrel seems best of all. However, maybe I am missing one: haven't tried Yamaha YCL 250 yet; what think? With my large hands I like the R13 ergonomics which my 7214 Vito-Leblanc seems to match pretty well unlike other LeBlancs which don't. But there MUST be another to check out?

Try the Buffet B12, the Schreiber 6010 http://www.gemstonemusical.com/schreiber (Schreiber make the B12) and the Yamaha YCL-250 are all worth trying, as is the plastic Jupiter.

Dollar for dollar, the best (undervalued) plastic/back-up clarinet is the older Vito V40. Although discontinued in 2003, there are many of them for sale if you look around.
Undercut tone holes, large bore (584" or .590"?), surprisingly good intonation and a clarinet which is almost indestructable.
For many years I used one as an outdoor, bad weather clarinet playing with my big band. The projection and intonation were both teriffic.

I second GBK on the Vito!
Yes on the projection, and I especially like the key work, which is robust.

yup, get an old vito on the auction site and have it repadded/overhauled. they're suprisingly good. 7214's aren't too shabby either.
