A number of years ago I played a piece with a community chorus (SATB) that had a clarinet obligatto. It seems like it was something along the lines of Shenandoah or The Water is Wide... something in that genre. Does anybody know what I'm talking about and where to find it? I've been poking around on the web without much luck.
Or, other suggestions of choral music w/clarinet would be welcome too!

Here's another suggestion. I recently performed "Just a Closer Walk With Thee" arranged by Rev. James V. Marchionda (World Library Publications). It's SATB with soprano soloist, B flat Clarinet and Piano. The arrangement features the clarinet in a slow blues style - very effective.

I played a gig at a local synagogue last December -- 2 works: chorus, piano and klezmer-style clarinet.
Al Ha Nissim -- D. Frimer, arr. Jacobsen/Netsky. Published by Transcontinental Music, N.Y.
Drey Dreydeleh -- same publisher.
Both very effective and a blast to play!
