Charlie Eble, founder of Eble Music, passed away today.

From eble.com:

We are extremely sad to inform you that Charlie Eble passed away this morning, Febrary 25th, following a brief illness; he was 93 years old. He founded Eble Music Company in 1950, and was a tireless and enthusiastic supporter of music and the arts. Charlie was held in the highest esteem world-wide within the music community, and was dearly loved by his family and friends. A detailed obituary and more information will follow in the next few days.

I am not familiar with Eble Music Co. What did it sell, and where was it?

Eble is my favorite music supplier - friendly, knowledgeable, fast. Charlie surely founded a fantastic company.
