 Tony Pay CD

Today I've been listening, with some pleasure,to a recording from the early 90's of Tony Pay with the Orchestra of the Age of Enlightment performing Weber-Crussell concertos. The liner notes are rather sparse and don't mention if he's playing a period instrument or a modern clarinet.

Any of you know? Whatever it sounds pretty good....

It would be a modern reproduction of a period clarinet if not modern. Since Tony's here, awaiting his own reply.

Since it was recorded with OAE, I'd expect to hear that he played period instruments on those recordings. I have them and I would assume that based on the sonority as well. They are wonderful recordings!
