I got my clarinet Sunday. About an hour later, I learned a song and I recorded it for youtube. Some comments on the site would be greatly appreciated. I want to improve my playing exponentially, yet I cannot do this without people's opinions!

Thanks everyone! (I have only posted a little on this forum but you seem to be very nice, informative people.)

I don't recall how long you've been playing, but very nice tone for a beginner, if you are one.

That was my first hour. So I'm really taking that as a compliment. (I've played bari and alto sax before though)

You have a nice sound. Because of your musical background with the bari and alto sax, etc you could probably make any instrument sound good with some effort. Every other instrument is just an extension of your past musical experience. IMA Its good to experiment while concentrating on one primary instrument.

As soon as you get a bit more comfortable with the fingerings, have a look up for resonance fingerings. Not only does the sound improve on throat tones, but it also helps your hand position and makes going between some notes easier.
