Was the C13 discontinued? I haven't seen any for sale for some time, but my friend recently aquired one at a "steal." I suspect he got such a great deal on it because Buffet no longer produces it. There may just be some unsold ones left. It does play well though. Which model replaced it?

Hi Ryder,
The C13 (International) clarinet is maybe a slight step above the E11 ?,
but it's not to be compared to the near professional C12 (made in france).
It think it was specially made for the US market ?. I think an older E11 (with a better keywork) is equivalent to the C13, go for it...

well, I wasn't gonna buy it cus i have an R13. No ned to get an intermediate clarinet. I was just interested in the history of it. Thx
