This is my (ex) teacher with his trio that i studied under for three years at Interlochen. He's now teaching U of Texas at Austin beginning this fall.

I HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend any clarinetists looking at schools to consider him as a teacher, he's absolutely incredible.

Excellent playing. The violinist was also very good and the ensemble playing was excellent.
A question- because they kept focussing on it, I kept trying to read the numbe ron his mouthpiece. Is it M15?! :-)

Yep he plays on an M15 with a Bob Scott Ligature and a Muncy Barrel.
He used to play on a B40Lyre

As a graduate from The University of Texas @ Austin, though not in clarinet performance, I have studied under Richard Macdowell for many years and consider him a good friend. I can certainly hear why Nathan Williams will make an excellent addition to UT's faculty! Best Wishes!

Very musical playing, clarinet overmiked and violin under, at least on my stuff, but playing the horn between your knees is bad for the middle tuning and on this video the high register is not intune or timbre with the rest.
