Not to dismiss Maestro Muti, but aren't there any *new* conductors out there? Seems all the great ones alive today just move around....

Ummm. . .look at people like Gustavo Dudamel, or even Robin Ticciati.
there are definitely new conductors around, damn good ones. Doesn't mean they are going to be leading Chicago.

I was sad to see Muti leave Philly.

Haven't liked the conductors here since.
