 Le Tombeau de Ravel

Valse: Cl + Pno.

Theme/variation 5 - you see the opening phrases repeated twice. But, in the first phrase, the third bar has an Ab in the spot where the same bar in the repeated phrase has an A natural. See what I'm talking about? It could be my edition? But i think it doesn't make sense what is in my score?

Also, as i don't have the music with me right now, I go by memory, in the same piece, but the 1st theme, variation or second there is a leap of a 3rd in quavers when there is a leap of a 4th in quavers when the phrase is repated later in the variation. i think it is A-C the first time and G-C the second time, or something like that. It looks like they are meant to be the same. Can anyone please clarify these queries?

Thanks, N

In my copy (Boosey & Hawkes) in Var. 5 both phrases are identical with an Ab, both in the cl. part and the score.

I too have the Boosey and Hawkes edition, and both phrases have an Ab. However there are a few mistakes in this one.
The re-statement of the main theme just after the quasi cadenza has two discrepancies from the first statement. 3rd bar, 3rd beat of the re-statement has a G and the original has an A, and the 10th bar of the re-statement has the D minor arpeggio tongued, where it is slurred in the original statement. Both cases I have changed to match the original statement, hoping that the mistake was in the re-statement itself
