I have seen several references to "bad bore" Buffet Academy Models . I have an Academy , Model # 41056 which is in or close to the problem models .
What problems are associated with the " bad bores" ?
I have noticed that the upper register , starting with C thins out whereas the lower registers are full and mellow . Could the upper register problem be a bore problem or should I consider a new barrel ? The one I have is a Buffet that is original to the horn.
I've played for a number of years , so I'm not discounting that part of the problem could be me !
Comments or advise will be appreciated .

(gphillips, sorry for not providing any insight!)
Actually David, those were the original lyrics to the song. Thorogood succumbed to pressure from management to keep his clarinet background "in the closet".
The lyrics were then adapted to the song we all now know as: "Bad to the Bone".
