Ravel's arrangement of "Pictures at an Exhibition" has 14 sections. Of these, 11 have a bass clarinet part and 5 of them are for bass clarinet in A.
Are there parts available all written out for bass clarinet in Bb?

Not that I know of, unless they have been done by the players themselves. As with Mahler's symphonies and Wagner's operas you have to take the part as it comes.

I've never come across it. Bass clarinet players should learn to transpose from A clarinet just as clarinet players should be able to transpose from C, and A too when needed. I know many players have written out their parts in Bb and some symphony libraries have done it for them but I learned to transpose all the parts I play. It never occurred to me not to learn to transpose. There are bass clarinet parts in A in both treble as well as bass clef. With today’s computer programs it does make it easier to write out your parts though. I just find it less time consuming to transpose my part then to re write it. Probably because I'm a better player on the bass clarinet then I am on my computer. ESP

We're doing it in May and I just received my part. It is done by an arranger (Wilson, I'm not sure, as I'm not at home writing this) but all of my parts are in Bb. So at least there are parts out there that are all transposed. I have done the non-transposed version too though.
It is such a fun bas part and really captures the best of the bass clarinet.

Whenever this comes up with something that is rented or borrowed, I write out the necessary transposition and include it with the part when I turn it in. Hopefully, this will help the next player.
However, I'm informed that this kind of thing is in violation of copyright. Is this so?
