Hello. I am currently finishing up applications to various music schools and the application to the University of Michigan requires a resume. It is a fairly non-traditional resume in what it asks for so I'm having to type a new resume.
One thing it asks for is a list of pieces that have had solos or featured parts for the orchestral clarinet. I have been a member of the local Junior Symphony for a couple of years now and have played quite a few orchestral pieces with the organization. I'm also playing three more concerts with the orchestra before I'm no longer a member, and I'm including the pieces we're playing on these last three concerts and marking them as 'anticipated' (mostly becaus we're playing Scheherezade in April).
Here are the pieces I've played with the ensemble...some of them I know will be included, others I'm not sure. I'd greatly appreciate opinions on which ones I should include.
Tchaikovsky, Symphony No.5
Mozart, Overture to 'Magic Flute'
Debussy, Petite Suite
Elgar, 'Enigma Variations'
Wagner, Prelude to Tristan und Isolde
Wagner, Overture to Die Meisterzingers
Saint-Saens, Symphony No.3
Beethoven Symphony No.1
Berwald, Symphony No.3 "Singulere"
Tchaikovsky, Violin Concerto in D Major
Holst, Mars, Bringer of War from "The Planets"
Prokofiev, Lieutenant Kije Suite
Copland, Billy the Kid Suite
Rimsky-Korsakov, Scheherezade

Like it says, include the ones with big clarinet parts. Preferably, I'd say, if you were the one playing said parts.
For example, Mars from The Planets doesn't have a particularly memorable clarinet part, or at least none that jumps into my head at the moment.

I divided my resume into parts designating solo parts, etc. (So I had a section with standard orchestral pieces I performed though are not important for clarinet, and those which are prominent for clarinet, etc.) I was accepted to Michigan, I might add...
